Important Notes on Site Content
References and Materials
Please see my bibliography for a list of references and photo credits on this site. If I directly quote
any the books, they will be referenced by initialed title and by page number as the books are obviously copyrighted. The
webmistress respects copyrights. This is how the titles will appear in initials:
The Witching Hour: WH
Lasher: LR
Taltos: TL
Blackwood Farm: BF
Blood Canticle: BC
Vampire Chronicles: VC
Please note that the editions I use are my own copies, and the varying editions are indicated in the bibliography.
The page numbers in my copies may or may not correspond with the page numbers in other editions.
In addition to my print copies, I do have Kindle versions of the novels. After comparing the Kindle Editions in the Kindle
reader on Amazon.com, my desktop Kindle reader (Windows), and my own print copies of the novels, I was able to determine what
pages have the same page number across all three versions. This is meant as a guide for readers of the novels who might want
to look up where particular characters, places or other things can be found.
The Witching Hour-Ballantine Mass Market Edition, May 1993: Page numbers match the Kindle For PC Edition and Kindle
Cloud Reader available on Amazon.com.
Lasher-Ballantine Mass Market Edition, October 1995: Page numbers match the Kindle For PC Edition and Kindle Cloud
Reader available on Amazon.com.
Taltos-Ballantine Mass Market Edition, May 1996: Page numbers have a difference ranging from 1 to 35 pages from beginning
to end than the Kindle For PC Edition and Kindle Cloud Reader available on Amazon.com.
Blackwood Farm-Ballantine Mass Market Edition, October 2003: Page numbers match the Kindle For PC Edition and Kindle
Cloud Reader available on Amazon.com.
Page numbers come from the publisher, but not every time. If the publisher did not include page numbers with their digital
edition, Kindle will instead use location. Generally, the page numbers reflected in the Kindle Edition correspond with the
page numbering of the paperback edition of a book.
Page numbering details for the three books that are part of the Vampire Chronicles will be added here very soon.
Kindle Edition copies have been added to the bibliography of the Parlor.

Hot Topic: The Parlor and AI
The Parlor makes use of Artificial Intelligence, or AI, technology to create Mayfair Witches-related graphics
for the site, including 3D graphics, images and video. Because the focus of this site is primarily upon the Lives of the
Mayfair Witches novels and the Mayfair Witches as Anne Rice described them, the focus of the graphics created is to create
the world of the Mayfair Witches as closely as possible to Anne Rice's descriptions of her characters and their stories.
When details described in the novels is portrayed more or less "as is" in the AMC series, those things might appear in such
a way that they are simply integrated with the graphics that depict parts of the novels or the characters in the novels.
This, of course, is done under Fair Use, and indicated in the attributions as the source whenever they appear.
In creating the facial features of the Mayfair Witches or, occasionally, other characters, I have over the last year developed
a "formula" that includes a blend of faces, rather than simply one face. The faces blended include some of my own at different
ages. This is done to make the Mayfair Witches realistic, but unique, and to avoid their looking like copies of actual people
with known, recognizable faces. If the result ends up resembling someone else living or dead, it is entirely coincidental
(not to mention jaw-dropping and, on occasion, hilarious).
These kinds of blended images are what I use if I create the Mayfair Witches or other characters of Anne Rice to depict them
as close as possible to their descriptions in the novels. They are the ones I use in any fan art (in images) based upon the
series, unless it is an actual scene from the series. Those are left "as is".
The Parlor currently does not use AI to generate voices. There has been no need to focus on voices, as only one creation
has a Mayfair Witch uttering only one word: the first name of another Mayfair Witch. This was done with a generic generated
voice (a computer talking) that is actually close to my own. This was done for the same reason a formula for blending faces
to create realistic features is done.
For more about my approach to the use of AI to create graphics, please see this page of the Parlor:

For those who have questions about the Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches series
on AMC, it has come to my attention that all inquiries must be directed to AMC.
I do not know who at AMC would handle those kinds of inquiries. However, I can at least provide a link to AMC's official
website and their press inquiries page. Hopefully, it will be of some help to those with questions of this nature, or at
least a place to start.
