Launched in June 2008, the Parlor has grown to include several pages with a wide range of topics. All
have appeared in Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches series in one way or another. This was one of Anne Rice's
literary gifts--the ability to bring together a number of ideas, details, people, places, history and preternatural beings
and make them all work together to tell a story.
In the wake of Anne's passing, the Parlor has been rededicated to her memory and to the preservation of her literary legacy.
The Parlor is large, and there is a lot to see! All pages have the main menu at the top. Each item is also a category of
pages, and you can access other pages of the Parlor by selecting a topic and choosing a page from the dropdown menu on the
far left.
Not exactly how I wanted it, no (it's a webhosting thing). In the dropdown menu of this Mayfair Parlor category, there are
pages that will help you navigate your way through the Parlor. Below are some of the highlights of the Parlor's content,
and a few obligatory notes below them. Please stay a while, explore and have fun!
The above graphic by Eve Hall, used as the cover of one edition of Interview With the
Vampire, is one that I thought could use a bit of animation. So, the candles flicker!

Come Into My Parlor...
What's New
A few days ago, I was browsing through the video clips shared on the official Facebook page for AMC's Mayfair Witches, when
I came across a video. A Yule log for the Winter Solstice...
I didn't have to look on the Parlor's own YouTube channel to remember one 20-minute video I made and uploaded about a year earlier. This new video, which I've added to the Season 2 playlist on the Parlor's YouTube channel, is an hour-long ASMR ambience-type video like
mine (mine is shorter in duration), but of the fireplace in the Mayfair house of the show. It's really beautiful, actually!
As for my 3D model used in that video, I've added two new exported images of the Mayfair dining room to YouTube, Facebook and the Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches page (with a few other new images). They show a basic St. Patrick's Day spread.
Since the model is huge, I have to keep the spread simple (rats), but managed a traditional Irish stew, cabbage something
or other, bread, potatoes, Shamrock cookies and even a silver soup tureen in the background on the butler's pantry counter.
And yes, beer.
I meant to do this a year ago, but technical difficulties that had better stay solved now caused problems. So, a day late,
but here. And I hope I can get the garden model to stop crashing because Easter's coming.
Previously...
So far, it's unknown if Mayfair Witches will be renewed for Season 3. Fans of the show hope there will be more, and
there are, no doubt, those who are NOT fans who hope the series will end with the Season 2 finale.
In the last week, some important and exciting news was shared on Anne's Facebook page by her son, Christopher Rice. In an
article on Deadline.com (which I'll add a link to below), a new partnership between Anne's estate and Dinner Partners LLC
(owned by Christopher Rice and Eric Shaw Quinn) and InkWell Management and Literate was announced. Although AMC acquired
the rights to the Vampire Chronicles and Lives of the Mayfair Witches series in 2020 (film adaptations), this
new partnership appears to cover the film/media rights to the remainder of Anne Rice's literary properties. Christopher and
Anne Rice are the executive producers of the two AMC adaptations, but if I understand it correctly, it will be Christopher
Rice and Eric Shaw Quinn who will be executive producers of adaptations through this new partnership.
Somebody correct me if I got this wrong.
I've added a few things to the pages of the Parlor that cover the Mayfair Witches series on AMC. Of course, I had to include
at least one good shot of the dollhouse made for Season 2. This I added to the page of the Parlor that discusses the Soria-Creel
house. OF COURSE I was thrilled to see that! Before I ever even learned to use a computer, I had a love of realistic miniatures
that remains to this day. One of these days, maybe I'll share some photos of some miniatures I own. I've even got some real
kiln-fired bricks that are miniature! They just kill me!
In all seriousness, though, I thought the use of the dollhouse and how it was filmed to be a sort of window into the living
world of the living Mayfairs was incredible. This is something I go into a little more in my blog posts on the episodes.
One brief featurette shared on TikTok by amc+ discusses the dollhouse, and it's one of the few reposts I've made on the Parlor's
TikTok. Generally, I prefer to add clips by others to playlists (like on YouTube) or collections (like on TikTok), but only
repost certain ones, like one would on Facebook.
It's hard to say whether or not there will be a Season 3. Certainly, there are some directions to take the story if there
is. If there is, let's hope it doesn't take two more years to finally make it to the screen.

The Parlor and Your Privacy
If you come across anything that concerns you, if you have any questions or see something you believe I should know about
right away, PLEASE do not hesitate to let me know. The Parlor can be reached directly by email at comeintomyparlor1995@gmail.com.
For those who prefer browser plug-ins to block bad things:
The Mayfair Witches Parlor is an Internet user like everyone else. We all have to protect ourselves online, and often, that
means finding good plug-ins for browsers. The Parlor mainly uses Windows, but hopefully, those who use different operating
systems can find these plug-ins or comparable ones if that is your choice.
The plug-ins the Parlor uses most for online security? NoScript and Malwarebytes.
It's a good idea to get yourself a password manager as well.
Not every site allows for 2FA via anything other than SMS/text messaging, but if you're someone who needs it and does not
have the ability to use SMS or text messaging, there are authenticators you can get as plug-ins on your browser. They're
FAR better than nothing.
Hopefully, these suggestions will be of some help.

A Note on the Parlor's Style...
The Mayfair Witches Parlor uses quite a bit of different styles in its user interface. It's "vintage Internet" in a lot of
ways, yes. However, it is a large website with many different topics. To make it a bit more interesting, and even informative,
you will see variations in some details. The basic layout of the pages of the Parlor remain fairly consistent, and aimed
at making user experience efficient and fun.
One thing the Parlor uses is a selection of different fonts across the site. The fonts are chosen based on what a page's
theme is. The bar across the top of each page of the Parlor might also change color on a page or group of pages according
to its content. Most of the default fonts on the website itself, if your browser has enhanced protection set to Strict, for
example, will appear as Times New Roman or Arial. If, for example, you are on Rowan's Rage (in the Talamasca Files section),
you'll see a default font of Courier New. To see a full list of the fonts used across the Parlor that include example text,
scroll back to the top of this page, go to Mayfair Witches Parlor Guidelines, and scroll down until you get to the section
that contains a set of accordion options. One of them is "Fonts".
If you have questions or concerns regarding the layout of the site or...anything else...please DO let me know!
